Privacy Policy

How we handle personal data on this website, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Who we are

This website is operated by Thinkporch Technologies Private Limited (“Thinkporch”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in India with its registered office in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website. You are the Data Principal.

You can reach us at info@thinkporch.com for any question about this policy.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address, company name (optional) and message you enter. We do not ask for any other information, and the form is the only place on this site where you can submit personal data to us.

The form also records the time the page was loaded. This is used solely to identify automated submissions and is not used to profile you.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This involves cookies and processing of technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view.

We do not operate user accounts, we do not take payments on this site, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.

Cookies and local storage

Beyond the Google Analytics cookies described above, this site stores your light/dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage. That preference stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally without them.

Why we process your data

  • To respond to your enquiry. If you contact us, we use your details to reply and to discuss the work you are asking about.
  • To keep business records. We retain correspondence relating to prospective and actual engagements.
  • To understand and improve the site. Aggregate analytics tell us which content is useful.
  • To protect the site. Basic anti-spam checks keep automated submissions out of our inbox.

Where the DPDP Act requires consent, you give it by choosing to submit the contact form or by accepting analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time — see Your rights. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for this website.
  • Resend — delivery of contact form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google — Google Analytics, and Google Workspace for our email.

We may also disclose personal data where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

International transfers

The providers above operate infrastructure outside India, so your data may be processed outside India. We only use providers that offer contractual protections for the data they handle on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, and thereafter for as long as we have a legitimate business or legal reason to retain them. When neither applies, we delete them. You can ask us to erase your data sooner — see below.

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in that service.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are validated server-side and delivered over encrypted connections, and access to the receiving inbox is restricted to Thinkporch personnel who need it.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
  • Correct, complete, update or erase your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent you have previously given.
  • Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us about how we handle your data.

To exercise any of these, email info@thinkporch.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We respond within the timelines required by law.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and with the DPDP Act, the contact for grievances regarding personal data is:
